After going to the Ju Eng Home, I felt that it was a very meaningful experience as I could entertain them with music and communicate with them. It was something that I had never done before but I think I would do it again because it felt very good seeing the smiles on their faces. However, I feel that there is still a gap between Singaporean children and the elderly, especially because of the language barrier that we still face. There are also common misconceptions about the elderly and I hope to be able to change that through this project. Communication is key. Therefore we must overcome the language barrier with Hokkien classes. I hope to be able to help the elderly and see the younger generation taking the initiative to close the gap between them and the elderly. Labels: Reflection
